What is simulated game?

Simulated game is as close as you can get to an actual game shoot at a fraction of the cost. Providing the perfect combination between the hospitality and adrenaline filled, fast-paced style of shooting found on a game day, with the certainty and value of clay shooting.


Our simulated days consist of four exciting drives, thousands of clays and plenty of food and drink throughout the day.


Whether you are a competition shooter who needs some practice on testing driven or challenging crossers; a game shooter looking to get your eye in before the start of the season or just looking to have a great day out with your mates, simulated game is for you!

Our Venue

Situated on the outskirts of Farnsfield village Carr Banks Farm is the perfect location just a few minutes from our Clay Shooting ground.  Currently owned by Frank Reynolds M.B.E., Carr Banks Farm is rich in shooting history with shooting on his estate dating back to the 1800s.


The drives we use are based on a variety of terrain, from woodland set in some fantastic valleys, to gently rolling grassland allowing us to throw a wide variety of different game species without traveling too far between each drive. When with us you will get to shoot four drives which are used during the season for pheasant, partridge and duck. Thanks to clays not having specific climate or habitats we can even show some not so historic Nottinghamshire grouse by adapting land which is normally used for partridge.

Typical Itinerary

  • 9.00 Guests arrive at Cockett Farm for bacon rolls.
  • 9.30 Safety briefing and drawing of pegs
  • 9.45 Depart for first drive
  • 11.00 Break for elevenses
  • 11.30 Move to next drive
  • 12.20 Drive to a local pub for 2 course lunch
  • 13.30 Depart for final two drives
  • 15.00-15.30 Return to Cockett Farm / Depart at leisure 

 

Prices (per person)

  • £160 +VAT (full team of 16)
  • £170 +VAT (half team of 8, day to be filled with other bookings)
  • £180+ VAT (individual guns)
  • £33.50 + VAT (non shooting guests)

Additional Information


Based on a full team of 16 guns 6400 clays over 4 drives is included.  Hospitality includes tea / coffee and bacon roll on arrival, Elevenses and a 2 course pub lunch (excluding drinks).


Please note all guns must have a valid shotgun certificate and insurance (BASC / CPSA or equivalent) which must be presented on the day prior to to shooting.


Coaching for less experienced guns may be available from one of our team of coaches. Please check coach availability with us prior to booking your place on the day if this is required.


Ammunition is not included. As each guest will be shooting in the region of 400-500 we recommend a low recoil light load.  All cartridges must be fibre wad.  We are happy to supply ammunition, please contact us with your requirements so we can have it available for collection on the day.


Full payment is required at the time of booking, this can be processed automatically by clicking on one of the booking link buttons above.  Once confirmed, cancellation fees will apply as follows: If cancelled up to one month prior £50 per person cancellation charge; 1-4 weeks prior £100 per person; within 1 week - full charges apply.
