Cockett Farm is pleased to confirm that we are re-opening on Monday 29th March. Please note however that to enable us to open, we need to comply both with Government & CPSA guidelines, so things will be done quite a bit differently for the time being. There will inevitably be a period of adjustment for both staff and customers during this time so please bear with us while we all get used to the “new normal”.

Before travelling to the ground, please ensure that you read the following procedures that are in place.

Why are we doing this?

Businesses are only allowed to operate if they can demonstrate that they have conducted an appropriate Covid-19 Risk Assessment and that they have put in place appropriate measures to protect both their staff and customers.

• Pre - booking recommended. In order to control the number of people on the ground and on each range  at any one time, please call ahead to book. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. The ground will be opening to receive telephone bookings on 01623 882244 from 10:00 on Monday  15th March and at our normal opening times from then on. Please do not call outside of opening hours.
• Maximum of 6 people on any range at any one time.  If you are waiting to go on a range, please respect people's space and stay well back until the previous shooters have left the range.
• Golf Buggy - The buggy is available for single use or one on the front and one on the back. We recommend you pre book.
• Arrival - Please do not arrive at the ground more than 15 minutes prior to your booked time.
• On Arrival - Please go to the clubhouse to book in and then proceed straight to the range. If you are early, please wait in your car, do not wait on the ranges until just before your squad time.
• Clubhouse facilities - the clubhouse is closed apart from booking in, cartridge sales, toilets and take away drinks & snacks.  Please do not bring any guns or equipment into the clubhouse.
• Mask / face covering - in line with current legislation a mask must be worn in the clubhouse. If you do not have a mask or have an exemption, please use the booking in window rather than coming in to the clubhouse.
• One Way System - is in place around the club house. Please go in the normal double door but go out of the door near the toilet and turn right to avoid meeting people on the path.
• Our Sporting is run on the Claymate self - trapping system.  On booking in you will be issued with a claymate card and shown how to use the system if necessary.  Hand sanitizer and anti-viral spray is located at each stand, please use this before leaving each stand. 
• All other ranges will be operated by Cockett Farm staff.
• Social distancing - Please maintain 2 metres distance from staff and other customers at all times whilst on the ground
• After shooting - Please leave the range as soon as possible to make way for the next shooters.
  
• Cashless payment - Although we can accept cash, to minimise cash handling, where possible please pay by contactless card or phone etc.
• PPE - As per CPSA advice, please bring any additional PPE you feel appropriate to use whilst shooting. All we ask is please take it away with you so that we do not need to clean it up.

We're sure you all know that we are a friendly, family run business with a reputation for providing a safe shooting environment. We do not wish to impose onerous restrictions on either our staff or customers however, these are unprecedented times and all of the above is done to ensure everyone’s safety, as far as reasonably practicable, whilst giving you opportunity, although in a restricted way, to get back out and do what you love doing.
